Watch the calendar and make sure you get kittens and puppies vaccinated as close to the day they are 6 weeks old as possible. Mom should be vaccinated soon after kittens are born and again 3 weeks later.
This is very important and one of the things caregivers most often neglect. The ideal scenerio is to have these animals protected by vaccine a minimum of a week before they go to the shelter.

The intranasal vaccine is very important! It will protect your fosters from the Upper Respirtory Viruses they will encounter in the shelter invironment.
The intranasal FVRC must be administered to your foster cats and kittens 48 hours before they are returned to the shelter. Click here for directions on how to administer Intranasal Vaccine. If you are not able to administer this vaccine, make arrangements with Judy or the shelter to have it done. |
